Hidy used the question prompts below to help students reflect on their discussion. She also asked students to write in their weekly learning diary as part of the reflection process.

Examples of question prompts used:

  • Do you think that your discussion helped you build knowledge? Or was it just repeating opinions of other people?
  • Does the discussion on KF help deepen/ or change your understanding of some problems?
  • Read and select the best reflections from others. Why do you think they are the best? How did you choose? How can the reflections be improved?
