Highlights of design:

  • Teacher-led discussions
  • Lack of criteria for good questions/discussions

Learning outcomes:

  • Students became slightly more inclined to seek and answer questions
  • They also grew increasingly proficient at deciding whether particular information was useful or not, rather than solely understanding how to find relevant information


For Year 1, one of the learning modules was “Life Fighters”, which focused on individuals who demonstrated resilience despite difficult circumstances (whether physical or financial). Tim’s aim for this particular module was to ensure that by the end of the teaching process, students understood what life fighters were and able to express their own opinions.
